The two pictures almost tell the story ... Vangelis (founder of the local Friends of the Animals and Environment society) wades into the sea to find out why the dog’s body is floating, but he can’t see his head ... a minute later Vangelis discovers why ... two rocks had been tied to the collar of the dog's neck! His ‘owner’ led the unsuspecting dog into the sea, carrying two rocks which he earlier tied together with a piece of rope, one end of which was fastened to the dog’s collar. Once the man was waist-deep in the water, he dropped the rocks, the weight of which pulled the dog’s head to the bottom.
