Athens marathon 2011 On Sunday 13th November 2011 three GAR supporters, Paul Loader, Victoria Petridou & Christos Matthaiopoulos took part in the Athens Classic Marathon to raise money for Greek Animal Rescue. Paul completed the marathon in 3 hours 7 minutes and 57 seconds and came 217th. Christos, in his first ever marathon managed to run it in 4 hours and 31 minutes. Due to injury Victoria was unable to take part in the marathon but ran in the 10km race. We'd like to congratulate Team GAR and thank everyone who sponsored them. The total raised comes in at just over £3,000! While Paul is no stranger to running marathons, this was Victoria & Christos's first and we are honoured that they chose to run it in aid of GAR. |
