Puppy beaten and killed by 90 year old woman

In July 2009 on the Greek island of Salamina, this puppy dared to wander into someone's garden. It's punishment? To be beaten over the head and killed by a 90 year old woman. The local animal welfare organisation is trying to press charges but it is unlikely that the authorities will prosecute. They generally ignore crimes against animals and are even less likely to prosecute a 90 year old woman. |
