Dog murdered with a shotgun in Kefalonia, Greece

Whitesocks

On Sunday April 12, in Kefalonia, Greece, a beautiful, loving, cared for and loved dog was brutally executed. In broad daylight, and in a public place, she was murdered by a single shot from a shotgun that was fired so close to her that the entire cartridge passed through her chest.

A couple who were caring for Whitesocks tell of their devestation at finding her murdered and have started a Facebook page so please join them and show them your support!

Dear animal lover,

Following a long hard winter in Kefalonia, Greece, with the systematic poisoning of scores of dogs and countless other organised and random killings of cats, dogs and other innocent animals, the last remaining puppy from a stray litter we had fed, neutered, vaccinated, sprayed, and, above all loved, was EXECUTED on Sunday 12 April, in Kefalonia, Greece, in broad daylight and in a public place. She was murdered by a single shot from a shotgun that was fired so close to her that the entire cartridge passed through her chest.

WE ARE DETERMINED TO MOUNT A VIGOROUS CAMPAIGN HERE to start to bring an end to this barbarity.

Whitesocks, the puppy that was shot, has her own Facebook page. For now we would be very grateful if you or any other Facebook users you are able to contact would add themselves as friends of Whitesocks.

IF WHITESOCKS GETS HUNDREDS (or dare we dream thousands?) OF FRIENDS, it will be a powerful tool for us to use here locally.

The Facebook name is "Whitesocks Aspres Kaltses"and you can visit the page by clicking HERE.

Thank you for your help. Please forward this to anyone you can think of who may be sympathetic to our cause. Every animal still alive on Kefalonia looks to you to help bring about change.
