2010 Sponsored dog Walk The Greek Animal Rescue annual sponsored dog walk took place on Sunday 13th June 2010 at Trent Country Park. The event has helped to raise almost £2,500! We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped to make it such a huge success. Those who attended will we're sure remember the day for a long time to come. Many participants are 'regulars', having attended 2 or more previous 'walks', but there were also several new faces, both human and canine and they must have felt very much at home!! One very special guest at the walk was Pluto. A dog who had been rescued from Greece in April 2009 when he was just skin and bone. There are 2 photos of him in the video footage below. The change is amazing!
Singer Maria Daines and her husband Paul came with 3 of their 4 dogs, Madi, a black lab-cross and 2 Staffies called Patch and Millie, both adopted of course.
You will hear 2 of Maria's songs in the video footage below. 'Dog Walker' which was inspired by Madi and the moving 'Heart and Soul'.
