5 dogs hanged in Sitia, Crete

On May 14 2009, the president of the animal welfare organisation of Sitia, Crete, Mrs Maria Papadaki, was called to an agricultural piece of land, one kilometre out of town. The terrible sight - 4 hanged dogs on one olive tree and another dog hanged opposite. The vets who visited the crime scene said that the four dogs were hung in such a way that their paws still touched the ground in the beginning and that they took their last breath at least EIGHT HOURS LATER! The police made a report against 'person(s) unknown', but the members of the organisation made an appeal through Agroschannel to inform them and the police station in case somebody knows anything.
