Rebel - subjected to abuse and neglect on Lesbos

This dog was found 20km from the city of Mytilene on the island of Lesbos. His hindleg had rotted off after being tied tightly with either cable or wire. He is scarred from head to tail possibly from acid, extremely emaciated and was covered in ticks. Amazingly he still wags his tail when anyone talks to him and is desperate for someone to trust. He is currently being taken care of at a shelter and it is hoped he will make a full recovery so he can be adopted.

UPDATE AUGUST 2010 Rebel, as he has now been named, is making fantastic progress and he is currently being prepared for rehoming in the UK.
