Beauty - a brave dog's story of survival
|
|
An injured female pointer was found by some tourists and brought to a shelter on the island of Kos. The injuries were at least a few weeks old, sustained either by a hard blow to the nose with a sharp ‘object’ (an axe?) or by a wire trap, though it doesn’t seem likely that a wire could have cut through the bone.
Beauty, as the dog was named had somehow learned to eat and drink by scooping up food / water,
tilting her head back and swallowing.
Wherever Beauty will eventually be re-homed, it will have to be a very special home, where she will not meet many people, though thankfully she will not have to answer any questions about her disability. Imagine if she were a human! |
